Edit: just to clarify, this is NOT the same as the other Megamenu extension being discussed currently. These are separate extensions with issues.

So I need some help. Last night I purchased and installed the Megamenu Category extension, for my 1.4.9.4 installation. I'm having a display issue with it, and while I have e-mailed the listed support e-mail, I wanted to create a thread as well so that others would be aware, and to increase the odds of finding a solution (and making it public for others).

The extension displays perfectly in IE9, Firefox 2, 3.5, 3.6, 4 and Chrome. However, when viewed in IE7, IE8 (normal or compatibility mode) or IE9 compatibility mode, the menu is, for lack of a better word, jacked up. This issue is visible on the demo site as well, so it clearly isn't an issue with just my copy. In the browsers where it fails, there is a sub-menu expanded, and laid over the main menu, the main menu is stretched quite a bit, and there is no fly-out functionality at all.

Suggestions? Ideas? Maybe a known fix?

This is a screen shot from their demo site of what the issue looks like (same issue on my test site, just a different section expanded improperly):

Had a chance to go back and get the actual error IE gives for the page:

Webpage error details

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; InfoPath.2; .NET4.0C)
Timestamp: Fri, 29 Apr 2011 15:31:20 UTC

Message: Invalid argument.
Line: 12
Char: 12949
Code: 0
URI: http://captured.server270.com/test9/cat ... 3.2.min.js

So, finding the line is easy enough but I don't know any of the coding text editors that would help me find character 12949 and I would have no idea why there's an issue...is there maybe some upgrade to jquery that I need to replace this file with for proper compatibility?
