This is something weird I've just noticed that has me scratching my head. Hoping someone has an idea of where I can look to figure it out.

Using 1.5.2 and all my stores use the same product.tpl (this file ONLY exists in my default template folder and not any of my store template folders so it's being used by all stores).

If you compare the same product on 2 stores:
http://www.gothicplus.com/satin-cropped-half-glove-2137 which uses Carbon template and
http://www.sensualelegance.com/satin-cr ... glove-2137 which uses the opencart default template
(templates for all but the product page as noted above).

On both sites, the popup box is distorted which I cannot find css for the popup?? Where is the css to edit? On sensualelegance, some times the popup image loads only briefly and then disappears, other times it doesn't load at all.

I never consciously changed anything but the image size thru the admin panel for the popup, so cannot figure out where the heck to look to fix this issue :(

Even odder...

same product on another store that is also the opencart default template (using the same product.tpl as all my stores)

http://www.cosplaycostumecloset.com/sat ... glove-2137

It is behaving correctly and even looks right style wise!!

Definitely giving me a headache :(

Anyone have an idea of what might be causing this?

I've compared the source of the product page for sensualelegance (where it is foobared) and scifi-collector (where it is working correctly), and I still cannot get a clue of it. Both use the same colorbox javascript code and file.

Really giving me a headache, so any ideas would be appreciated!

No, still having issues. Cannot find a rhyme or reason though I've noticed many other opencart stores display the same way, so I'm thinking it's an issue with the 1.5.2 default template. Just haven't been able to figure out what/why :(

Okay, so this issue is even stranger! Products on the same site are displaying differently!

Check http://www.gothicplus.com/hooded-shredded-hoodie-34-005 - the image popup is messed up, frame missing, segments shifted out of alignment.

but

http://www.gothicplus.com/gothic-high-l ... irt-53-227 is 100% correct!

ON THE SAME STORE! Same template, same product page template, same stylesheet, same f***king EVERYTHING!!!

So why in the world would it be perfect on some items, messed up on others?????

This is totally driving me NUTS!!!

It only seems to occur the first load and on certain browsers. Reload and it shows up okay. That suggests to me there's some issue with colorbox or how you're implementing colorbox.

If that doesn't help I'd start the dredge work of getting the HTML to validate properly. The page has a lot of errors.

It's the default colorbox that came with oc 1.5.2 - never changed it.

Other than adding markup and additional alt info, haven't changed the image tag either:

Code: Select all

      <div class="image"><a href="<?php echo $popup; ?>" title="<?php echo $heading_title; ?>" class="colorbox" rel="colorbox"><img src="<?php echo $thumb; ?>" itemprop="image" title="<?php echo $heading_title; ?> by <?php echo $manufacturer; ?> <?php echo $model; ?>" alt="<?php echo $heading_title; ?> by <?php echo $manufacturer; ?> <?php echo $model; ?>" id="image" /></a></div>

Which could be the problem. That version of OpenCart is over a year old. You have Colorbox 1.3.17.2. Current is 1.3.19. Since I can't get the problem to consistently occur (only once) I'd start there.

Well, I found 1.4.6 from colorbox website and installed. Not sure it totally solved the issue, but it is being a bit more consistent in how it's loading, so hoping that did solve it. Haven't checked every page/site. Am still seeing it load the popup sometimes with the border sometimes without on the same store which makes no sense to me, but I'll keep testing. At least it seems like it's behaving a little better.

(1) Nested within catalog/view/theme and separately within admin/view/theme/ you'll see the usual nests for stylesheet/ populated by .css files, and while drilling you'll see nests for javascript/, inside which are more .css files. Partly to mostly from the latter spring styles for "fancybox" and other features driven in .js. Be certain to have backup safety copies before altering those, some of them have a complete zoo of content. You can see in the header of an ordinary index.php or its common/header.php (or, if modified, then in certain other places), the essential roster of .css files that will be called.

(2) Whenever you're trying to work on something, flush the browser cache as often as necessary, and if necessary kill the browser and relaunch it.

(3) Via ftp look at the series of timestamps for hints of whether a hacker visited the server. (That's one reason for keeping via ftp a complete backup directory tree from the server on your own machine, so you can put it back onto the server intact.)
