I am new to OpenCart, but not new to the .tpl system, so please forgive me if this has already been discussed. I couldn't find anything about it.

I am trying to modify my default template, but the header.tpl file seems to be encrypted or otherwise unreadable in a text editor. This is the only file that I found like that. Here is what I'm looking at:

OpenCart 1.5.4
default/template/common/header.tpl

Image

Can you tell me what's wrong and also what the code should look like?

Thanks,
John

Thanks, but no luck. I downloaded again but it's the same thing. I just download a free template and its header.tpl looks fine. I don't know what is wrong with the default template header.tpl.

No not encrypt . there is a lock sign in the editor, click it and you will be able to modify .
