Hi there,
Is there any way to get say 4 images into the Banner area/module on the Home Page ?

At the moment I have one pic, but would like to have 4.

you can just edit directly to the home.tpl file. Add that in, it would be simpler. Else you will have to set float left to the banner module

That looks to be a bit of a tricky solution.

I wonder if there is an extension that does it ?

Does anyone one know of one ?

In the meantime I will have a look at the extensions available.

Not sure of your question.

Are you asking how to get 4 pictures that rotate one after the other in the banner module? If so, that's already built in - just edit the banner and "add banner" to add as many pictures as you want to the same banner. example - my other store banner above bestsellers towards the bottom of http://www.egyptianmarketplace.com/

Or are you asking how to have 4 smaller images next to each other in 1 banner each linking to something different? Sort of like:
photo photo photo photo
If so, you can use the welcome module or one of the html anywhere extensions to create a table holding all 4 images with different links to each like:

Code: Select all

<table><tr>
<td><a href="your link for image 1"><img src="path to image 1"></a></td>
<td><a href="your link for image 2"><img src="path to image 2"></a></td>
<td><a href="your link for image 3"><img src="path to image 3"></a></td>
<td><a href="your link for image 4"><img src="path to image 4"></a></td>
</tr></table>
Or if you want 4 images in 1 banner that all link to the same thing, create the banner in a paint program to include the 4 images you want.

Running Opencart v3.0.3.2 with multi-stores from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.

@labeshops

Thanks for yout very detailed and helpful reply.

I really want to do the second option.

So the Welcome module sounds good.

What I really want is

A photo with a block of text next to it on one row

Then on the next row

Some text with a photo to the right of it.

This will make my home page look interesting with the photos and give people something good to read and give Google some text to index.

I suppose I will have to do some html floating which I was never any good at.
