I just installed opencart in my web and I don't know if I can use the default template for my web. Is it legal or is there some problem with it?

It is what I think, I'm doing this website for my store, not for sell it, I sell only the products of my shop, but a friend of my partner (he is the owner of the store) tell that I can't use the default template, becuase it's illegal. But I think that it's possible that the friend of my partner want to sell us a website because she works making webs.

It is perfectly legal to use the default theme of opencart.
