This is a beginner question regarding OC version 3.0.3.7 (and basically all 3.x versions)
I tried looking for TWIG documentation but can't seem to get this clear when it comes to OpenCart.

How does the actual twig-code get recognized by the controller, if at all? Or does TWIG automatically get recognized in the view (twig files) because the TWIG engine has been installed? How does this work?

By the TWIG engine from both startup controllers and from the system library where it loads from the system storage vendor.
