On Microsoft edge, Shopping cart resets after adding an item then clicking checkout, or adding another product. Works fine on Chrome, Safari etc

Could be a session cookie or cache issue. Check your web browser's development console for errors and look at the response headers.

Anyone know why my shopping cart works fine on everything, except Microsoft Edge? using Version 3.0.3.2
Well no of course we don't because you haven't given us any info about your extensions / theme.

Something I've noticed to be quite common on this forum, vastly greater than on others is the amount of arsey comments from those I presume on here to help, y'know those keyboard warriors who wouldn't say boo to a goose in person.

There is some truth to your comment, but there are two sides to this coin.

1. It is a minimum to provide OC version, extensions and themes and often a web address.
The purpose is to make every effort to make it easy for people to help you.
By not doing so it is perceived as a little rude, it may have not been your intension, but I am sure you can understand that if you are asking for help it makes sense to do so in a way that reduces the time wasted.

2. You are one person of so many and you have no idea what poor manners so many ops have around here. Yes it is quick to just write, but how hard is it to write please and thank you. Not necessarily on the question and actually not required then, but how many people come back and write “oh thanks .. that was great it really helped” .. and a very big thank you to all those that have, it is very much appreciated .. Does that feed our egos? NO! It makes up for the hundreds of others that sometimes you wonder why anyone answers .. Have you ever wondered why people offer free extensions when so few say thank you ? .. and notice how many of the comments are wanting not giving ?

Men are men and women are women .. and for all of this so called equality, it doesn’t exist and sometimes that is not a bad thing. I assure you I would have no problem to say anything I write here to a persons face .. but I have felt the same about a few comments directed at me (personally) on occasion .. and to my face .. not a chance ... So, just laugh it off and know who you are, no one meant to offend you ..

Follow ADD CREATIVE’s advice and if you are still stuck .. post your OC version, theme, extensions - but really your web address would be the most useful thing to assist.

Thanks By Mona, Points taken, Ive plenty of views on that but will move on. On the actual topic, Ive cleared all caches I can find on both opencart and Edge. The issue still exists. I have searched for the same issue on here, cant find an exact copy but I've seen issues of SSL creating browsers problems . I have an SSL cert, Ive checked the box to make site SSL, I can see the admin config file has the https as my domain but I cant find the catalog config file to check the same ( I read on here both of those need to be amended.)

Im using the default theme on Version 3.0.3.2.
Im using the following extensions. Free Shipping, Weight Based Shipping, Anti Spam by Cleantalk, and Worldpay .
The domain is www.drumshellsuk.com

To recap, All seems fine on Chrome and Safari, on Edge after adding a product to cart , going to checkout or view cart or adding another product removes the products with the 'Your cart is empty' message.

Any guidance on sorting the SSL or Cart Issue would be appreciated.

well, your site is not secure but the main issue is that you have a session problem, not just on edge.
I do not get any session cookie so check your server and php settings.

Thanks for the input, No point me looking I've no idea what to look for, I've put a quote request in the commercial section if you would like to quote for sorting this.

It is because your site is not secure, browsers refuse to set the session cookie.

The catalog config file is in the root
and admin is in the root of admin admin/config.php

If you have a certificate a quick call to your service provider to check why it is still showing as insecure - they will (should) help you with that
sometimes Lets Encrypt is a bit of a problem and not guaranteed to work .. It is not always the reason, but often ..

Thanks for the suggestions. I had to select 'force https' on my host Cpanel. That sorted the SSL and Cart issue on Edge.

Well if you would now be so kind as to put [SOLVED] at the front of your title that would be great.
So the next person may search and find the solution easier :)

Glad you have it sorted and thanks for coming back & for your solution
