I ma having a problem with my admin panel where the time is being recorded only in UTC format.
I searched the forums and found an older thread covering this for earlier versions saying that the corrrect way was to update the Startup.php file to set the time.
I modified my startup file but have not seen the change just yest..
I am in AZ and that would be UTC-7 as we do not utilze daylight savings.
However, in searching online I had found the setting their should be "America/Phoenix" for this..
Can anyone set me straight?
Thanks

it says to set the default timezone to phoenix if it is not defined in the php.ini file.
So it probably is set there.
So just remove the condition and force it to phoenix.

You might run into issues if you change the PHP timezone and your mySQL timezone still resides in UTC. Mostly on statements using now(), there was something about this posted on OC GitHub repo awhile back.

Search the marketplace there might be some extensions that allow you to do this.
