Customer Telephone Numbers Hypens

For some reason when customers register there telephone numbers for example a mobile number contains hyphens within the number, normally 2 of them breaking the number up... what would cause this ?

This isn't normal OpenCart behavior, so it's probably part of your theme. Contact your theme developer for support, and see if they can tell you how to disable the automatic-hyphen-adding.
