Added a new theme, changed settings, cleared cache, but won't switch?

Hi guys,
I created my own theme.
Duplicated the default, edited CSS,
I changed in settings and in extensions/theme, default store theme
I cleared cache in modifications, and refreshed shift F5 many times,
but the theme won't switch?
What's wrong?

How did you created your theme? Is your theme named "default store theme"?

I just duplicated the theme folder and renamed it, and selected that in the admin

I did a couple of times, but the stylesheet (and the template) does not point to the new theme, it stays at default.
On what places in the shop do I assign the new theme?
- in settings it points to the default theme
- in extensions > theme it points to the new theme Encounters

You should only include the files that you change in your theme so it is wrong to duplicate everything.

So just add the folder with the css? That's a strange way.
