hi all, i can find upgrade instructions for upgrading from v2 to v3, but not on how to upgrade from a current v3 to the latest version 3, eg 3.0.1.1 to 3.0.2.0 .

Is the process the same?

- Make a full backup of your store, including database
- Install the fresh and next OC version on a separate folder
- Run the /install folder with your current config.php, admin/config.php and .htaccess files (ensure to edit their server paths prior to run the upgrade)
- Once the upgrade completed, remove the original store path from your host file manager console
- Rename your new folder back to the old folder
- Re-edit your config.php, admin/config.php files and .htaccess with their relative paths
- Re-upload all your images
- Make a backup of your store and database again
- Ensure each extensions you have either downloaded free or purchased from the Marketplace and / or from any 3rd party websites they are compatible with the OC version you are using before installing them on your upgraded store
- All done!

That sounds very convoluted, as you're essentially just uploading the new core files on top of the existing, and then running the install, correct (although you're doing it a longer way round)?

While it may be my own suggestion, never to upload files on existing files when upgrading. Always upload fresh on a new separate folder. While it may take longer, at least, you'll have a so-called stable platform compared to the additional and unsupported errors you may encounter aside.

Surely just make a full copy of the site then copy the new files over it and do some testing.

Now you've made me confused...
Both suggestion seems logic.
What are the pros and cons of the "just copy over new files" and "make a clean install with everything" ?
Are there any DB changes in these minor version changes? If no, then why should we clean install a new version and believe in that, everything works like before? Why is it better than just copying over new files with new version?
