Hi, I am a new convert from oscmax to opencart 3.0.2.0 and just implementing a migration now. I am finding that Customers>Customers>Transactions are not logging: order_id, description, amount . I have checked the database table "op_customer_transaction" and confirmed these variables are not being written
Is this a common issue or might I have an installation/configuration issue?

Enable the debug mode from your payment provider modules you have installed and take a look at their log entries. See if any recent dates are showing.

I read in another thread that customer "transactions" are "store credits", unrelated to customer purchases. Is that the case? It makes very little sense to me but would explain why orders are not listing in the Cusomter>Transactions tab.
