How do items/products become FEATURED . I can not find anything or anywhere this can be done.

Yes I saw that.
So the only way this works is if I go to this extension and literally add a product myself to this featured list.
Is there no way to make featured items random or just have products list on home page without them being featured.
All I seem to be able to do is having to create carousels for everything and can't get to just display listed items by default without carousels.
Have got a wrong setting somewhere?

well, I don't plan to judge on your understanding of a 'featured' Product,
but if you want to make it a random Selection, check on the BOTTOM LINK,
if it's for no good use, to select a bunch of real featured Products.
Or then, use a free Extension from an older Version, if you are able to make
it work in the latest Version as well, since for latest Versions usually not much yet exists.
Like this one, made for OC v.2.2:

You could always later share your work for free with others around here, possibly looking

Hi. I do understand what featured produces are and how/why they are used but I have no use for them for this site structure as all I want is to be able to display any product from all sellers randomly without any fancy setups.
I thank you for your suggestion and will look into it and let you know if it works.
