Hello,

I'm a lover for Opencart, I' working with this open-source already at 5 years.

But In this moment I have a issue/bug that I don't know how can I fix it.

I installed Opencart 3.0.2 and Journal 3, and if I have 0 products in the cart he doesn't appear, if I add one product he appear with the numbers of products and the total, but if I do refresh disappear the information again.

I talked with the support of JOURNAL and they said me that is a bug and not related with the template.

Anybody have the same problem? How can I solve this.
I'm lost with this issue.

Best Regards
Fábio Ramalho

Switch back to the default theme and see if the issue can be reproduced. Check your error / server access logs noticing the issue when refreshing the page.

Also try a fresh version of OC v3.0.3.2 and see if that issue also occurs with the cart page.

Yes, with SSL
- my store is feiradostapetes . pt - please try to add a new product to the cart and see the 'bug'
Aparently this isn't a error, my log don't refer anytime this problem.

then it is a template issue, your cart works just fine.

Tell your template people that the ajax call puts that info next to the cart icon but that the normal page load does not.

While every solution at the moment don't fix your issue, no topics are being addressed about it either. Forum rules.

Sure?
Well, there are only two things certain in this world, death and Trump obstruction of justice but that's off topic.
For everything else we have to content with probability.

That text is only set in two ways, via ajax calls when you add to the cart (via inline js on the product page and via the included common.js on the others) and when you simply load the page via the header code.
If your normal page loads would display this text but your ajax calls would not, then you may have a problem with the ajax calls on 500 or 404 errors, CORS issues or a malformed json record being returned.

But your ajax calls work just fine whereas your normal page load does not show this text.

That (without having the ability to trace your code) puts the probability of a template issue at about 98% give or take a few percentage points.

Unless you have other modifications running that I am not aware of.

Yeah … please no political views on the forum with the exception of the off-topics section ...
