I always thought that "recycling economy" is very important.

The OpenCart development team is responsible for the continuous development of stable versions.
Developers like straightlight, as much as possible through the github to organize the available patches, Let each version work properly.
A general user like me can pay for the expansion I need to make this community survive.

Therefore, it is very important to reduce the difficulty of using this software, For this reason,I think the official must release the patch that the user and the developer can directly replace.

This is a relatively normal survival mode.

Just like:
phpBB
Joomla!

In fact, I used to create a patch for OpenCart 2.3.0.2 based on the debug list I found.

I used this basic OpenCart 2.3.0.2 version to create several stores for the company, I helped some developers sell the same extensions many times.

I think OpenCart 3.0.3.1 is an opportunity to try, As long as everyone can create an SOP, list each debug record and create a patch for general users.

I think this can make OpenCart survive.

PS. I will create a patch based on the topic posted by straightlight, Can your help me?

Which topic are you referring to? Are you talking about the article 7153 topic on GitHub? If so, what patch do you require?

The most generated errors being found on Opencart forum originates from contributed programming. The increased post counters are caused by redundancies of the same solutions that were already provided prior.

This is the list of patches I have completed.

[v3.0.3.1] - admin extension dashboard
[v3.0.3.1] - cardconnect extension payment
[v3.0.3.1] - paypoint extension payment sort order
[v3.0.3.1] - klarna extension total
[v3.0.3.1] - klarna account extension module
[v3.0.3.1] - klarna checkout extension payment
[v3.0.3.1] - firstdata payment extension
[v3.0.3.1] - openbay / ebay
[v3.0.3.1 - Fix] - product viewed - reset button

In short, it’s based on your topic, I edit directly with the steps by steps.

As long as you can provide the correct modification steps to me, I can complete the modification.

PS. If you can provide a debug list for 3.0.2.0, I am also willing to create a patch file.
Incorrect. The last posted fix - product viewed is not addressed by me. However, I already provide enough bug reports as it is, I don't need to provide a list. You want to stay updated with the Bug Reports? Follow the posts or use the forum search, simple as that. Taking an example from YouTube, people needs to subscribe so not for publishers to provide anything more than they already provide to the people. If you do have suggestions to use Subscribers list for the forum, create a new service request on the Opencart.com's feedback form hoping in the future this will be considered.

This issue above has been posted multiple times about the catalog.cache error message. Please search the forum.

In catalog/model/localisation/language.php file,

find:

Code: Select all

$language_data = $this->cache->get('language');
replace with:

Code: Select all

$language_data = $this->cache->get('catalog.language');
As for the file library, see this solution: viewtopic.php?f=201&t=210596

The most generated errors being found on Opencart forum originates from contributed programming. The increased post counters are caused by redundancies of the same solutions that were already provided prior.

Whitelight,
I deeply appreciate your cooperation with those answers, they did work fine on my website's store.
The issue that caused those errors was the new update to the latest version I thought that it was better to ask before starting replacing code on pages that i wasn't sure, and now I know that I did the right thing. So far, my website with a small store is running and I hope to sell something soon. The name of my website is https://wishlist.bookoflike.com Book Of Like. :)
Thank You.

Well, you won't be able to legally sell to Europe, since
your Site does not comply to EG Rules. And without a
really traceable address on that Site, it's hard for for the
Rest of the World, to know of whom they're dealing with.

But you might not meant it that way, it just looks like it ... :D

It's even more hilarious for me noticing the people that aren't able to use the copy and paste of a username. You're right though, it is out of interest, however.

https://screenshots.firefox.com/Iuzvd1Y ... emo.wdo.tw

Order ID: #%s #2

Should be:
Order ID: #2

I don't think is needed to change posted code from model (credit and reward), because you just tell to read from _['text_order_id_total'] = 'Order ID: # %s'; and on Customer will be the same as before:

Example: Order ID: # %s #3

And work just fine when use in language only $_['text_order_id'] = 'Order ID:'; , without to make changes in both models credit and reward.

Possible missing a sprintf from a file....

Anyway, As long as I can solve the problem, it is the most important thing.

Thank you for your help!

I'm having an issue also with the extension PayPal Express Checkout, when the user buys a product and goes to checkout using the shopping cart, after selecting Paypal and entering the credential, the buyer gets an error.
See the error:
Error: Error: There was an error fetching the PayPal token at eval (eval at globalEval (https://mysite.com/catalog/view/javascr ... .js:2:2536), :22:21) at _loop (https://www.paypalobjects.com/api/checkout.js:5519:50) at ZalgoPromise.dispatch (https://www.paypalobjects.com/api/checkout.js:5543:57) at ZalgoPromise.resolve (https://www.paypalobjects.com/api/checkout.js:5479:22) at https://www.paypalobjects.com/api/checkout.js:5453:48 at XMLHttpRequest. Then on the server side, the error log, it shows several errors.

I'm sorry for so much code, but, at this point my site can't sell anything online if these issues don't get fix. What should I do to fix that? I already read a lot and I don't get a fix so far for the version Open Cart 3.0.3.1.
Thank you for Your opinions and help.

Not a PayPal Express Checkout log event. ModSecurity is enabled on your server as it affects your server cache entries. ModSecurity must be disabled. As for the PayPal token message, see this fix and enable the debug setting in your PayPal Express Checkout form from the OC Admin in your extension payment module page (set maintenance mode to 'on' from your store settings if running live): viewtopic.php?f=201&t=210578

Well, better don't blame OC for not fixing misses, after telling the folks, to
move up, whenever another 'latest' Version arrives at the Scene. It's only
an endless game this way, but only based on Dev's Comments, not by OC.

So, better don't complain about it, but stop, to tell new or existing Users,
that older OC Versions are only full of misses, and should be replaced.
I never understud this strange behaviour, but I am not a DEV, waiting to
create additional income, one possible reason, that it keeps on this way.

Nasty Ernie
Tell that to the people who wants to make the difference by fixing the most of encountered issues in the past and then realizes that despite if the version is new or old - both ways ends up with the same problems due to unpatched variables noticing what they'll tell you afterwards. I think I've been long enough on the forum to realize what stalls and what moves ahead. As you said, you're not a DEV so you may not expect how frustrating for people that are DEVs whether it comes from the OC forum or on GitHub to resolve those on-going issues. Don't blame OC you say? Tell me otherwise after each (un)stable distributions who else do the integration and puts them on Opencart.com indicating that it's stable and ending up on the same level as last time on previous features and aside from the new features added in after waiting a year an a half having to spend several hours to track in the issues because you know that no one else will report them before you do most of the time.

Glady to say, however, some of the bugfixes were already found on GitHub and from this topic which brought my previous conclusion regarding on v3.0.3.1 that this very was barely useable (testing purposes?). With that being said, that makes me the right to complain about it since DEVs should not have to spend so much time on fixing bugs that a team should already handle. Granted, we can't expect to have 100% of the bugs to be fixed. However, after the team took 1.5 years to publish a new version on Opencart.com, they certainly don't meet the demands from their users aside from the new features.
Very fair points. I think one solution could be to invite more beta users and have a few months of rigorous testing. You say they are already doing it - Well then it has to be a little more. We need to step up if we are competing against likes of Magento and Prestashop.

I think you have to agree that this is a standard operating procedure.

The development team should not let developers and users handle the problem of debugging.

In addition to this, The code discussed in this topic, I don't seem to see any changes in 3.0.3.2.

Does this mean that we still need to confirm and fix it ourselves?
