Hello there,

In my online store i would like to offer a free samples including free shipment of some of the products that i have in the store. So, the customer does not need to make any payment transaction.

I have set up everything correct, and it seems working excellent. example: When the customer add a free sample the PayPal payment option will disappear and "Free Checkout" option only will be there, and the total amount of the order is $0.00. And, this is precisely what i really need in my online store.

But, when the customer make the order with amount of $0.00 the Open Cart will show to the customer that the order has been received, but in fact the order is not received and not even saved in the new order list!!

Which Opencart version and which payment gateway are you using?

The most generated errors being found on Opencart forum originates from contributed programming. The increased post counters are caused by redundancies of the same solutions that were already provided prior.

I'm using version 3.0.2.0 and the payment method is "Free Checkout"

After following all these steps, everything should work as intended. For instance, try to switch the status ID from the admin extension payment module. Save the changes and go back to the form. Is the current setting remain as the one you selected?

As i said earlier, nothing has been changed. And, whenever go to the payment method configuration i get the "Order Status" is set to canceled, if i change it to any other status it will not be saved any it will return back to Canceled again!!
