Store X --> Category Y - the core should be with an option to see the product under Category Y (Folders idea!)

Imagine google drive without options to see files under folders (This is what you find in opencart).

I find an extension for this topic but again very very weird UI (This idea should be in the core)

Also under the product tab - no way to see the category!

I am new to opencart - looks great but this is a very weird issue.

Regarding the extension, contact the extension developer to resolved this issue.

No. Under dashboard --> products list no way to know the category of product X (from the list not from the product setting)

Wow. I really hate this weird consept. Filter by category is basic like "bold" text in word (99 9% of clients need this). Very disappoint.

Install extension for such basic feature. I hope for update in the future the UI improve by the core team.

Well, then better just avoid, to get married with such a slug, she won't change,
just because of you.

But, to be honest, the more OC would include by default, the less paid Mods could
be sold trough the Extension Section, and this would be the end the whole Concept.
It's as easy as that, like it or not.

"Like it or not" I can say about any topic

Extension for a special builder, gallery, mega-menu and so on OK. Not for so basic UI feature.

VS: "Product Filter By Category" with 129 downloads VS 300K stores!

Example: On Wordpress (Wix and other builders Thanking them for it every day)- 99.9% of the sites need a meta title and the description (Basic!) hh but in the Core no way to add this (You should download SEO plugin). Why? I don't know (WP 15 years old CMS. Maybe in 20th birthday)

Summary: It's very easy to download plugin/Extension but "Great Core" ==> "More users" (First users play with the Demo not with "demo + Extensions"). The starter demo of openCart is amazing (build in Cart + steps, product gallery, Seo and so on) - but all part of categories the UI should be better.

Not all stores use that extension.
Not all stores need that extension.
Not all stores use 3.0.2.0 (I don`t use 3.0.2.0)

There are many free extension for "Better UI"

Also there are many extension to show on product list: SKU, MAN, EAN, Manufacturer, seo...etc...

In addition, which is why Google Drive is optional and not a mandatory asset unless being explicitly mandatory to use by management in a work environment inside a domain organization. Otherwise, no one is nor should be enforced to use cloud services for data-storage. Opencart is no different. Many features are presented as intended from the core but the rest leads to how, where and when people wants to gather their own features. The Marketplace presents countless possibilities and its own surprises based on the results it will bring to the people. In order to define those results, always read the comments and notice the ratings.
