Creating a blank page

I may be over thinking this entire process but I need help.

I intend to install the blog/news extension but I would like to be able to have the blog entries show up on a page of their own. The writer of the mod explains how to show the entries on an existing page but not on a page designated only for the blog.

So....I'm thinking that I need to somehow duplicate an existing page to retain the template and be able to plug the blog into this page.

I did search the forum but wasn't able to find any information on how to accomplish this so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Got it figured out. Trial and error and I'll probably never be able to do it again.

If someone with the know how wants to post the proper way to do this I would still be grateful. I'm just waiting for my cart to explode because I'm sure I didn't do it the proper way.

Well, if you are not telling us what method you used how can we tell you if it was, or was not, the proper way?
