K thanks! Makes sense. I just didn't know better since I am new to all this. I hadn't changed anything. Was just a fresh install of opencart. Thanks again for everybody's help!

Go into phpMyAdmin, select the order table, sort by order number to find the very last order in the database. Then place a test order so your test is the most recent one. Refresh the order table to see your order, then change the order number of the test to whatever you want the big number to be. The order numbers will grow incrementally by one using the big number starting from there...
