Add Dropdown Options to Category/Manufacture view

Does anyone know how to do this? I'm a little lost in the .php files.
I can get the .tpl file setup fine, but not the .php files.

Don't know exactly what you mean. Can you explain it a little more? What is in these drop downs?

The same dropdown menu that resides on the individual products page. I want to take that Options dropdown menu and put it on the category and manufacture view. I already added an add to cart button to the category and manufactures view pages, but now I need to add the dropdown options as well.

Did anyone ever get this working please ? I have searched this forum but haven't found an answer
the requirement is to have product options on the category page. So, a buyer can choose both the product and the option and add to cart, without having to go into the product page to select the option.

Q had this working in version 0.7.9 bundled up with the mod that is now called Quickshopper.

Think of a pizza shop - a combination of Q's Quickshopper and options on the category page would enable a hungry person to just run down the page, pick the pizza and the size/option, then choose Coke with option of super large etc etc and then just click one button and checkout. Real fast shopping, instead of going into each product page to just choose the size/option.

Forgive me if it's already available. I'm new to version 1.x. Have poked around a bit but found nothing so far.
