It's not clear what you mean by add a shopping cart image.

You will need to know a bit of CSS and maybe HTML and PHP to do want you want.

The file you need to edit is.
catalog\view\theme\default\stylesheet\stylesheet.css
Look for the #header #cart bits.

You may need to edit these if you need more chnages.
catalog\view\theme\default\template\module\cart.tpl
catalog\language\english\module\cart.php
catalog\controller\module\cart.php

Template images should be put (via FTP) in catalog\view\theme\default\image where default is the name of the theme.

Sorry. What you mean by default is the name of the theme?

I wouldn't use the image manager to upload this sort of image to OpenCart. You could use the image manager if you wanted to and would find the images in \image\data from your OpenCart installation directory.

But I would copy the images to your web server to catalog\view\theme\default\image from your OpenCart installation directory. FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is the usual way to do this. Look at your web hosting help for how to do this.

Default is the directory name of the theme that comes with OpenCart. A bit about themes here.
