Hello everyone!

I noticed some issues with tax-prices. What is happening:
Suppose:
I have a product. Sales price (incl. tax) is 300.00.
The tax-percentage is 19% (57.00 (300/ 100* 19))

So, I have set the percentage 19% in <admin/ system / localisation / taxes / tax rates>.
Now, when I add the price in the product data (without the 19% tax= 243.00 (300- 57)) and I go to my store-front, it displays the following: Price: 289.17€/ Ex Tax: 243.00€. So somewhere 10,83€ gets lost...

The ex-tax price is correct. But it doesn't add 19%, like I have set in the tax rates.

Anybody an idea of what is going on here?

That isn't how you calculate your tax though...
300 is the price with the 19%, so in theory it's 119% of the ex tax value...so to get your ex tax value, you do
(300 * 100) / 119
Which is 252.1008403361345

for 500 you'd do the same, substituting the 300 for 500, and so on and so forth

You may need to adjust the price slightly up/down to work to get the value spot on, but that should work with your 19% tax rate

:) Thank you so much Jay!

That does the trick indeed... I got dazzled by all the numbers that I overlooked this method!
Status: Solved.

No problem. It's a pain to remember when working with tax that you have already added tax, so you need to remove 19% from 119% not 100% :)
