I'm sure this is a simple one, but, in the Dashboard and other views where we see our customers and orders the IP address recorded is the internal IP address of our server. This is not very useful
Is there a way to record the external IPs of the customers? After all this is the thing we need for fraud prevention.

It's on shared hosting at present. LINUX. I have access to change htaccess, and PHP.ini settings. but no control of the hardware, and no root access.
OK - This is now solved :-)
This was fixed by moving the site to a new Apache II server. It seems earlier versions of Apache cause this...
My host moved my site as the server it was on was too contended and we were seeing performance issues. He moved it to one of his new severs. We then noticed that the IPs were registering correctly. When we checked with the host they informed us it was fixed by Apache II.
Hope this helps someone else one day.
