It's quite possible I don't understand canonical URLs, but I was wondering...

When I do a search for "site:www.mysite.com" on google I get quite a few hits where the urls are domain/category/product - but I also get the normal domain/product urls.

Won't this create duplicate content?

Also, what happens to the link value if I link to an url in the domain/category/product format?

in OC 1.5.x product pages have canonical URL in them so the ranking should get pushed on to one of the versions.

Search the forums for doing the same for categories
