i need to remove the Ex tax that is showing up o under each product. i know to go under settings/options/ and check no on the display prices with tax button but when i do that my Qty. box disappears. anyway around this? using open cart 1.5
Not sure why your "qty" is disappearing, But I removed the tax by commenting out the code on catalog/view/theme/default/template/product.tpl
Then do the same for any other pages you dont want it to appear.

You should not need to edit any code.
Making the change in admin as mentioned above should solve it.
If your quantity box is disappearing when make the admin change i would suggest something has already been changed in those files as this is not the default behaviour of OC
it may be a good idea to reinstall the OC files because something is obviously wrong there (and maybe elsewhere too)
