Search descriptions by default

Is there a way to set the Search at the top of the page to search in product descriptions?
And to have the "Search in product descriptions" checkbox selected on the search page?

My Improved search mod (below) Searches Descriptions by default and removes the Descriptions check box from the advanced search page

It also searches product model, upc, sku and prduct tags by default.
