Hi all,

Running a wholesale business we sell to the general public and we also have trade customers that have 30-day credit accounts.

Ideally what I would like to achieve is to cater for our retail customers through the normal checkout process i.e. Paypal. However, what I would also like to achieve is to give our account customers the ability to place an order for their items then have the option to simply email the order. No payment would be made. We would then place this order on their account on a separate system.

I would like to hide the prices to the account customers as they all have individual pricing depending on their monthly spend.

I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with OC and account/credit customers?

Unfortunately, I didn't.

I got way laid doing other things and it got put on the back burner - although it is something that I still want to do. I think it is something that would be extremely useful and a worthy addition to opencart.

My shop has a wholesale system as well as regular customers.
wholesale prices are calculated as a discount in checkout.
Discount can be set up for unlimited number of customer groups each having a different discount.

next to that customers with a credit can place a order and checkout on credit.
Saves creating customer order.

If you wanted a quick fix you could clone say the bank transfer payment extension and call it "Account Payment" or something similar. Then, create customer groups and prices for each group and move wholesale customers around the groups monthly based on their spend level. If possible it might be worth upgrading your site to 1.5.6.5 first. There are plenty of free extensions available that could help you.
