I want the following setup:

All clicks on the checkout link should go directly to the guest checkout page since the customers first choice should always be not to register for an account.

BUT, after editing the files:
catalog/controller/checkout/shipping.php
catalog/controller/checkout/payment.php
catalog/controller/checkout/confirm.php

by replacing:

Code: Select all

$this->redirect($this->url->https('account/login'));
with:

Code: Select all

$this->redirect(HTTPS_SERVER . 'index.php?route=checkout/guest_step_1'));
all I get when I click on the checkout link is a blank page at index.php?route=checkout/shipping.

Any ideas why?

v. 1.4.9.3

I'm using OpenCart 1.5.1.3

Have looked at your link... odd!

You have a different favicon on that particular page compared to all your others? Is that deliberate?

I don't know what you mean.

I just told to ehandelsfabriken that our extension can fix his problem.
If the customer do not login before checkout,then he will see the address,shipping,payment and order total information and he can fill in the form.
If the customer login before checkout,then address information do not need to filled.

What's wrong?

Sorry, Bingo - that was a x-post!

ehandelsfabriken had a particular problem about routing the customer directly to guest checkout if not logged on.

However ames problem is a particular page which, when you click on the link http://www.tidygarageuk.com/index.php?r ... ckout/cart to view the shopping cart is blank. Not anything to do with the checkout process.

So in short - I am sure nothing is wrong with your extension, just don't think that was what ames was eluding to?

In trouble?

Naaaaaa ;)

Do you recognise the favicon on that page? Did you put it there? Why isn't it on the other pages? I know that isn't the direct problem you face, but can't help feel that something isn't configured correctly/something been changed in the code somewhere that has caused this... Have you made any hard code changes to the shopping cart or routing/config files?

Someone with more knowledge than me might come along and put their finger on it...

The link you gave above (http://www.tidygarageuk.com/index.php?r ... kout/cart) was displaying correctly for me in FF9 all of a sudden...

Just double checked and all still fine.

[edit] only working when cart empty, fails when product in cart - sorry for the false optimism
