I had a customer request that I add his guest order to his newly created account on my 1.5.6 store. I went into the order and added pulled his account name into the customer field and saved it, but the account doesn't seem to stay saved and the order is not in his account?

Am I doing something wrong or is there a step I am missing?

Did you 'transfer' all data correct?
Tables: order, order_history, order_product, order_total
Gues it would be easier for you to create a new customer and the same order like this guest.

Well, and if the customer is already registered now, you could, from the Admin Section,
directly change to the Frontside, as Customer, and create such an order again, and then,
delete the old one. It would be much easier this way.

Ok, that is what I will do...

I did locate the setting to allow guest checkout and turned it OFF, LOL!

Thanks!
