Remove zones field or make them not mandatory?

Hi there.
I would like to remove "Zones" totally. I just don't need to use them.
How do i make them disappear in registration, checkout, etc?

Can you be a bit more clear? You want the customer to avoid entering the region,country during checkout & rego ?
