Hi
I get 'The page you requested cannot be found.' error and no page displays when I click on any category link. However, everything works fine when I click on any products listed in the 'latest' section or I choose any link from 'information'.

The same installation works fine on my localhost. The host that I use is hostmonster.com.

I tried giving 777 permission to all folders, it didn't make any difference.
It doesn't work no matter if I have SEO URLs enabled or not.

Can anybody please help me?

Regards
Thomas

It sounds like you have Use SEO URL's turned on under system settings. This is something I was struggeling with last night because I use godaddy. If this is the case you need to make sure you have it set up properly.

To use URL Alias you need to be running apache with mod_rewrite enabled.
Check your hosting provider

Make sure you have renamed your htaccess
In your opencart directory rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess.

If you installed opencart in a subdirectory, change your rewritebase to whatever you named that subdirectory as in RewriteBase /store in your htaccess

Under >products>data, make sure you enter an "SEO Keyword"

I hope that helps.

It doesn't work no matter if I have SEO URLs turned on or off. I've done everything you told me to do, no luck though.

The strange thing is that it only applies to category links, all other links to pages or products work just fine.

I've finally managed to overcome this problem by... deleting database and reinstalling the whole new store (that was a fresh installation anyway). I used the same edited template files that I used before and now it seems to be working fine. Strange, but I'm glad I have my store up and running again :)

And thank you guys for trying to help me :)
