Reorder Individual Products From Order Information Page

I am using 1.5.4 and not planning to upgrade in the near future. I have searched several times over the past three years and it seems most Opencart developers wants the ability to reorder all items in a previous order - this functionality already exists. I want to be able to reorder only an individual item from a previous order but I can't find this functionality.

For instance, my customers purchase plates for their trailers in the state of Maine and some customers choose to also purchase a Maine title. One year later (or 5, 10, 12, 20 years later) the customer needs to "renew" their registration and I want them to be able to simply reorder the plate with all the same options from their first order. It would be nice if I could have them redirected to the appropriate product page (http://www.alco-company.com/order/index ... duct_id=50) with all of the options already filled into the form because the customer needs to choose the "renew" option and give me their plate number.

As I stated above, currently the only option for reordering is for the customer to reorder their entire original order which would also add a title product to the cart.... which they do not need. I could tell my customers to just delete the unwanted items from the cart but seriously customers are just not that forgiving... they want things to be in a neat package and simple to use and I would like to provide this for them.

I do have many years of experience with php, javascript and other languages but a serious illness and meds are making it very difficult for me to retain enough information to find the code needed to make this happen. I'm sure it already exists in the current code but I am just unable to concentrate enough to find it. I'd have to pull out the white board LOL or I could completely bypass the MVC architecture and get the data directly from the database but ok I've seen what you guys have done in the past and I know someone out there knows how to do this.

Funds are available to pay for this functionality. Renewal time is only a few weeks away! Please help!

you should have better been posting this in the commercial section, many DEV's do not visit the 'open' sections on a regular scale, just to find out, if someone is willing to eventually pay for 'certain' knowledge. But if you plan to move up (upgrade is not possible, by default) to a new OC Version, if would make little sense, to invest quite a lot of money, for something very custom like this, because you would have to get it done and pay for it again.

I wrote this code myself and it works for OC 1.5.6 If anyone wants the code, I'll create a vqmod and publish it.
