Create multidimensional array with categories

Hi,

Without using any of the core opencart code. Could anybody show me a query and php code that would get alle categories (name, category_id and parent_id) in a multidimensional array and outputted just like the category hierarchy is? I am stuck

For the standard 2 level array you can take a look at the category module controller.
For unlimited levels, I can give you a hint: search for 'php + recursive menu + array'
