Adding more pages to OC

I am trying to figure out how to add more pages to OC. I just want another basic page with the header, footer, left and right sides but I want to be able to put what I want as the information. I am finding this difficult because of all the different controllers, etc.

Would anyone be able to help?

will an information page not work? under catalog->information

I wanted to make it that there would be a recipe page where it would list the recipes then when they click on one it would open that recipe as a new page. (with header/footer/etc)

So are you saying you want everything the same, and just have custom HTML in the page?
