OC 1.4.6

Can anyone help?

I am trying to associated related products to some of my products.

There are no available products in the combo's when I select any of the categories.

All my products active are listed under sub-categories.

Does anyone know what might be wrong?

Does ajax play a part in this? If so , could I have disabled this somehow? I vaguely remember a setting somewhere about the ajax cart. Can someone direct me?

thanks for your time

Checked the db to see if this ever worked, and it has one related product. So I know it worked once.
I can see the item that is related in the right combo box, but still nothing in the left box where I would select to add a related item.

I have about 2000 items in the product table, but only a small portion (maybe 10%) are active.

Any clues?

The error logs told me there was an error in a related function.
I fixed the error and now my related products are working just fine - thank you

Hi Squeky,

Any clues as to how you fixed this. I appear to be having the same problems - no products showing under the "Related products" category I choose.

Any and all help would be more than appreciated.

Cheers
Christine

Hi Christine,
By chance did you get it figured out?

If I remember correctly, it was a bad query that I was tinkering with. It wasn't directly related to the related products.
Do you have ANY errors in the log file?

Hi Squeky,

Thanks for responding - I am having a few problems with notifications not coming through so missed this one.....

I checked log files and nothing in them (I do have it turned on :) ). Not being a programmer I would have one helluva job recognising any "quirks" in any of the languages so if you can recall your resolve I am able to follow directions fairly well (with the help of backed up files of course).

Cheers and thanks
