issues after resolving OC error Cannot redeclare Document

After installing 2 mods (enhanced contact module and export-import-multilingual-2-26) OC displayed the error

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare Document::removeLink() in /home/accountname/public_html/vqmod/vqcache/vq2-system_modification_system_library_document.php on line 42
both in the front and back end. Note that I have opencartseopackprov7.21+-+for+OC+2.x and that requires VQmod to work

I traced the error to two XML files in vqmod following their troubleshooting instructions and after testing all of them I had to disable canonicals.xml and smart_seo_pagination.xml (by placing them in a folder called disabled) and after that the site came back to life.

However, there are 2 major issues I need to resolve now:

1) What do I do with those XML files now? They are probably important

2) I use the Journal II template and now the link in the administration to interact with journal II has disappeared.

This just happened so I am sure there are even more issues to solve, but I need to know what to do going forward.

Should I reinstall vqmod and the opencartseopackprov7.21+-+for+OC+2.x ? Should I also reinstall Journal II template?

Any help will be very appreciated. Thank you.

I should also report that Journal II is working fine in the front end and I can open up the interface in the backend by going to Extension >>> Modules >>> journal II >>> Edit

But I really would like the previous link to show up again.

You have two mods that are both trying to create a method named removeLink(). Possible causes are two different mods that happen to be creating code with the same name or a mod that was installed twice. The last one is the easiest to deal with so I'd start there.

Thank you. It didn't occur to me that could be the case. I am going to uninstall all the mods again and see what happens. I am a little puzzled as to why I lost access to Journal II interface, but I guess I''ll install that again as well.

Thank you for the hint.
