Latest 10 orders - not in order

Im a fairly new user to opencart and its been great for last few weeks and its only in last few days when more orders come in im seeing irregular behaviour, for instance, on the main admin screen under the last 10 orders view, lots of orders are not in order, instead of 45,46,47,48,49,50 im seeing 45,46,49,47,50,48 ect.
al so i use openbay, its been great but it somtimes takes hours for orders to arrive even though the subscription i have says it pulls orders from ebay every hour.
Is there any special settings in paypals website i should know about too like Instant Payment Notification, does this need enabling even though paypal sends me emails anyway ?

any help with this appreciated
