I have version 1.5.6.4 ...after update to this version and transfering website to new server I cannot receive order confirmation by email and the customer cannot receive the order also.
I can receive and send emails from contact form (in website) and the customer can receive emails when I change order status.
I change many things but I have no idea what is the problem.
If you have any idea please tell me.

have you checked the setting :

admin->System->Settings->Edit the store->Mail Tab-> New Order Alert Mail - This should be set to yes to receive admin order confirmation email.
