How to remove Featured Products from Specials page

Hi all, I would like to know if it is possible to remove the Featured products listing from the Special Offers listing page.
For example, how can I only show the Special Offers in this page:

I know it's been a while but, did you found a way? I looking at the same issue here.

Me too! Can someone shed some light on this please
I am also looking to remove the Slider from my specials page.

In v.1.5.6.x, there is no such thing as a built-in FEATURED Slider in the Specials Section, exept, if you have a Slider activated in the Module Section, to be VISIBLE as DEFAULT Layout Setting, meaning, that it will be shown on every
Special- or Latest- page.
