I am getting this weird issue where a product is purchased using Reward Points, but the customer did not even have enough Reward Points to purchase the product using the Rewards Points he had in his account.

Basically, a new customer who signs up gets 10 pts for free.

However, the product is $76.65, and is redeemable using 76.75 pts. The product is set to return the customer 0.7pts for each purchase.

However, in my case, when the customer checks out, he somehow manages to check out without paying a single cent.

Anyone faced this issue before?

Thanks!

Does it do that same thing if you use only full values? i.e. Instead of 0.70 have it at 7.0

If not then you might need to redo points by a value of *10 of what you were using...

Thanks for the response, Cue4cheap! I might try that, but that would mean I have to rework the entire reward scheme, because by multiplying my current points with 10 just so that I can get rid of any decimal values, redemption of points will be very costly on me indeed ;-)

Are you using a mod to give a new customer 0.7pts when they register? because I don't remember seing that option in standard installation.

If so, then I would hazard a guess and say, the mod has removed (or forgot to add) the line of code which stops a user from using more reward points than they have.

I am guessing and I would run a test to see if it stops the occurrence for a test product. If it doesn't, I would be at a loss.

I just got a feedback from my customer- they insert reward points of 0.7pts, and then the system automatically reduce the product item in full which gives a total amount of '$0.00'.

I have confirmed the item requires 77.00 pts to redeem.
