Product Attribute not saving

I am very new to this cart so please handle me with care.

I have been following the tutorial as far as Product Attribute and it all falls over

I click on 'add Attribute' button

Add Words in the right hand box E.g. 'Memory' then add words to the 'Text' box. then click the save button.

Does not save. I have even tried to add Attributes to the demo products but that also does not work.

Now some info;

Opencart version 1.5.6.4
Template: tg_prada_1.5.5.1_1.5.6_version_1.3

This problem seems to be with the Opencart version 1.5.6.4
