Hey guys,

I am working on a pilot opencart 1.5.6.4 site and get the following error in the log when I visit the dashboard of the admin panel:
2014-07-19 17:49:55 - PHP Notice: Undefined variable: success in /home/test/public_html/user/vqmod/vqcache/vq2-admin_view_template_common_home.tpl on line 24
I have previously imported some of my data from my old Opencart site 1.5.5.1... When I clear the vqmod cache the error disappears and then starts popping up after a short while. I would greatly appreciate your help in fixing this issue.

Thank you.

if it goes away after deleting vqmod cache then you've got your answer. it's a vqmod.

make sure you delete mods.cache as well. then if it still comes back disable vqmods in blocks until you determine which one is the cause

that's great. probably a simple fix.. i'd say email the developer and they'll usually be happy to know of the bug/conflict and fix it.

Hmm... I was hoping for a simple fix, but it seems a bit different.

The error comes up when I load the dashboard and the extension does in fact make some changes to the dashboard. However, the extension does not deal with the variable 'success' at all.

I am somewhat clueless.

The related extension is the following:
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... er%20entry

The developer's response is that it is a coincidence that the error disappears when you uninstall his extension.

you need to find out which vqmod has the problem variable. the most likely thing is that one is conflicting with the other. in order to solve the problem you really need to look at both.
