Weird characters in price, 1.4.3

Just done an upgrade on my test server and find the prices are listing weird.

all the prices have  in front of them, such as:

£60.00

Any one seen this?

This was an upgrade from 1.3.2 if it makes a difference....

Anyone with ideas/this issue??

Go to System->Localization->Currencies and reenter the symbol?

Crapo, that's exactly it!!

I had looked at the currency, but hadn't gone into it, so didn't see the symbol field.
