Put stock-status in order emails -

Hello OCers,
Is there a way to put the stock-status into the order information - to be viewed by customer when they look at their order and/or included in the email confirmation?

In our case, it would be one of the stock status messages, like "available on 5-7 days".
We are allowing purchase of out of stock items. The product listing does show the stock status "*** available in x days" but if the customer purchases it, we'd like to repeat that stock status afterwards in the order info and in the order conf. email.

I don't see an extension that does this, but wonder if there is some code that can pull the stock status out of the database for this purpose...?

This can be done. I have created a feature called custom stock status messages which comes on product page.
