PayPayl session time out

Hey guys!

I am using the standard paypal payment method with my opencart website. When I go through the checkout process and get redirected to the PayPal website, I get to login and choose my payment source on the paypal site. However, when it starts processing, it just says returns "Your session has timed out, please log in again." and logs me out of Paypal.

Any help would be appreciated.

This would be an issue on the Paypal site, not opencart. Perhaps they are having a glitch - never seen that error myself.

I changed the Transaction Method from Authorization Method to Sale and it fixed the issue. To be completely honest, I don't know what this does. Any idea?

I use authorize and have never had that problem. Authorize lets your verify the funds are available/card provided is good, but don't transfer the funds to your account until you capture the funds. Sale captures them immediately. I use authorize so I can verify all orders before I charge them. You can also use it to charge when shipped.
