I hope OpenCart 2 is coming soon
I hope daniel have enough time to release best new version soon
Daniel, please, can you say a real estimate for terms of the next release?? Tue Apr 09, 2013 5:00 pm Daniel wrote: maybe next month. depends. just adding html5 date attribute to date fields. a lot of things to catch up on since html5.
2 - 3 weeks? Or 2 -3 months?
Hey guys, come on, chill out. If you look at github, there are many big changes being made. Html5, responsive back-end, adding fields to registration form from back end, and son on. So I dont think itd be released any time soon. Besides, remember that after the release, its still necessary at least one month to iron out bugs to get a production ready release.Alexey wrote:Daniel, please, can you say a real estimate for terms of the next release?? Tue Apr 09, 2013 5:00 pm Daniel wrote: maybe next month. depends. just adding html5 date attribute to date fields. a lot of things to catch up on since html5.

If you need a production ready release, then please use the current one.

It would be correct, if Daniel say estimate. Thank you.
As there allways will be a new version (unless the project dies), you will wait forever.
Get the current version and do the job. When the new version comes out, give it time to settle down and upgrade later.
The new version will be out when its done...
Like marvmen21 said, check the github for progress but stop nagging.
6 month has been passed from the last release.SelfMan wrote:Guys, really?

Many bugs have been fixed but we cannot get bugfixes.
We will whine until we get a new version with bugfixes!
I understand that, but I'm almost sure that wont happen with the new release, it's 2.0 with huge changes, and probably new bugs, so again, if you're after a stable release, You'd better start hunting the github page for bug fixes like many of us have done. I wish qhporia started releasing bugfixes like he did in the past.Alexey wrote:6 month has been passed from the last release.SelfMan wrote:Guys, really?

after that 2.0 will be getting pretty close. I have managed to finish the extension installer and vqmod manager. the new admin design is nearly complete. also welfordmedia has nearly finished the new front end design using bootstrap. I have already seen a skinned version of it. its a fully responsive theme. that will added to the repository once its completed.
there is a lot of things happening. and they are getting close to being ready.

Daniel, thank you for answer!Daniel wrote:There is going to be an update with some new features. paypal and amazon have actually paid for these features to be added. they aren't on github now. welfordmedia is doing the work on their own repository. it will be merge with opencarts repository soon. maybe another week.

Its looks nice in admin theme with the bootstrap style look and feel.
I see some features like extension installer and more.
I know it's not a stable, but I will check other features of opencart 2.0. in my localhost.
Please admin, release the stable version of 2.0 as soon as possible. And also estimate exact days it will take to release....
Am eagerly waiting for stable release of opencart 2.0.
I've worked with some paid solutions and they don't put out a single upgrade/update in a year.

Totally agree with that. Just wait and stop pushing.cwswebdesign wrote:Some people are too demanding IMO. This is an open source project and in my mind, way better than the majority, if not all of the paid shopping carts out there. Enjoy what's out and when Daniel is finished, you can grab the new copy.
finish the new admin dashboard
update the file manager
finish custom fields
While i'm doing these 3 things i should receive:
new front end template
all the new paypal and amazon stuff
from another company

I would love to test out and make my extension compatible with the next release
