It looks like search feature is still not working properly. Its getting irrelevant matches and even worst thing, its not getting the best matching although it has updated tags.
Example:
Search Query : Advanced Coupon
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... on_id=6240, This extension should be the perfect match but its not showing this in the list and showing the extensions that doesn't have matching tags. It's really weird.
Also another issue is it's not sorting search results correctly with modified dates.
Similar issues with so many other extensions..

The search seems to be working just fine. Make sure you put in phrases people will type as well as individual keywords, so something along the lines of
advanced, coupon, advanced coupon, advanced coupons, better coupon, better coupons
Something like that. Remember plural's are not the same as singulars when it comes to full text searches

That's really weird. It is possible that you can switch back to older search system which was really perfect.

I can assure you that it was not. The new search is working fine. It works based on relevance, and it is working (I've tested it extensively)

Ok. Can you please try below searches,
Search Query : Advanced Coupon
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... on_id=6240, This extension should be the perfect match as it has similar tags, title and description and even updated today but its not showing this even in the list and showing the extensions that doesn't have matching tags.
Search Query : Sales Promotion
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... on_id=4927, This extension should be the perfect match as it has similar tags, title and description and even updated today but its not showing this even in the list and showing the extensions that doesn't have matching tags.
Search Query : mobile
Check results with update dates from top, you will find its listing latest updated files in the end. Its not sorts correctly with updated dates.

When you search by default there is NO sort by date, so the latest/oldest won't make a difference
I'm just wondering if you having capitals at the start of the words makes a difference. Try entering your tags with all lowercase

Thanks JAY6390. That worked for me.
You sure about default sort ?

The sort only occurs when you click the extensions link
As soon as you search for something, tags kick in, unless you choose a sort method instead

I found the search returns too much extensions when you enter 2 words A and B.
If first entries have (A and B), i dont need others results (A or B) as i precisely want both.
A select box (search in title/description/tags) will be good also.

gob33 - just because you don't need them doesn't mean others won't find them useful. The best matched will always show higher, so it should make no difference to you really
@Daniel - Can you add my banner for this mod when you review it please

I just noticed this feature today, will add the banner soon. Better late than not
May be the banner got lucky and set as featured.
Just wondering, does the banner will be rolled or stick with those banner only?
