May be you need to try OC 3.0.0.2 because opencart just releaze OC version 3.0.0.2.
I am building online store and i decided to install open cart 3.0.0.0
But they said it have many bugs.
Have you tried open cart 3.0.0.2 version ?
Did they fix the issues?
Also it is easy to update open cart from 3.0.0.0 to 3.0.0.2 version and above?

Ups sorry, by check again link on github, please do not use OC version 3.0.0.2. Now, OC released version 3.0.1.0
