It's not connected to Opencart, it is just one of the many spammers here.
I vote for more managing of the extensions section.

Extensions that only contain a zip with an empty zip or a link to a commercial site should be deleted.

I still think there need to be Extension Directory moderators - it seems it's getting out of hand and to be fair Daniel/Q can't be expected to clean it all up every day

I agree, and of course D/Q can't do everything, but I do feel that as this is the money generation part for the team that somebody needs to do it.

I am happy to volunteer.

Yeah I realise that, but if 5 people have to buy a mod to realise it's a fake, then it going to be a bit of a nightmare, especially if the person gets paid too

I just reported that one and it was #5. Five does seem like a lot . . . maybe it should be lowered to three?

We could try 3

And we could assign someone to monitor the extensions area. Need to make a special permissions group for that.. maybe even paid like 0.25% of sales royalties or something

Be sure to check the spam filter. I get mine instantly and others have been buying with no problem. If you are still having trouble I can send you one manually and have you reply to verify

with the report link can also be used to vilify, so the owner must also be notified of the report for clarification opportunity, isn't it?
I also view this case seriously, want to help if there is way

Find and get many various of opencart modules, themes, mods, etc for your opencart store at http://www.openmycart.com/oc/, OPENCART SITE customization and Maintenance supports at here

To be vilified by 5 different people in certainly unlikely. It is possible to have a case where someone registers 5 names to report something if they are really that invested. But your account must be active for at least a week before reporting is allowed. So if after 5 accounts and 1 week goes by, then I suppose they could report it down.

But the report comes to me, and I then decide if it is real or fake. If I am unsure, then I can contact the author. I also have a record of who reported so if it was a good mod and wrongly reported, I can see if they are all the same IP address or whatever.

This is extremely unlikely and I think the 1 week delay and simple human apathy is enough to make it a non-issue.

Today is the first time I have purchased an extension with the new paypal verification link system. I got the email ok and clicked on the link but it still says payment not verified rather than the normal download link. Is the verification manually carried out at your end - if so how long will I wait for access to my download.

Hmmm I think I might know why my download is not available and it is a problem to me.

I registered with OpenCart forum with my private email address but my paypal account is my business email address - so it will not authorise me of course. What should I do now to get my download?

EDIT: I have now changed both email addresses in my extensions account to be the same as my business paypal email address so please could someone resend the verification link to me - will this solve the problem?

The link gets sent to your paypal email, but the link itself is linked to the actual order regardless of email. Nobody else has reported this as an issue. What order id was it?
