Qphoria is also going to start working on the main releases and adding some of his contributions that he has developed and released in these forums.

I'm also thinking about using GitHub. I have just been playing with it and find its a bit of a pain compared to SVN.

Great News, 2 great developers on the development team. Can only be good news.

Congrats Q and Dan for your joint efforts.

On a separate note entirely, is there any chance the opencart website could be altered. The main thing is the extensions section. What i mean by this is that when a new release is brought out could a new downloads section be created to match the release version. Currently if an fellow opencart user wants to download an extension, module, template etc etc, they would have to trawl through the whole extension section. A separate section for each version would be ideal.

to be completely clear ( and this is only a suggestion).

Thanks again to all for their continued help and support.

Regards
Stewart

Now that OpenCart 1.4.6 is out and Q is looking after it Daniel will, if I'm correct, focus on restyling the opencart.com and rewriting the contributions-section.

Hallo Daniel,

Thanks for the meticulous & dedicated efforts you putting into the development of Opencart.
Equally good is having Qphoria on the development team.
That makes the load light on your shoulders.... ;D

Very nice to hear this co-operation. My only worry here is that Qphoria is used also to sell add-ons through his webpage. So is this a start of user payment for the opencart (open) and it's add-ons ?

I hope that you understand my worry - this is not an attack to you persons doing an exellent work, but just my personal worry only !

I understand your concern but you have to separate Qphoria's work on OpenCart and his developmend of modules for OpenCart.

The extra help should really be good for all.

Great product, I only have one suggestion.

All the fixes posted in the forums are not being applied to the released version.

(example) went through all versions 1.4.0 to 1.4.4 and the same bug is in all of them, and had to be fixed 4 times.

the one with the no_image.jpg not showing plus others.

It would be nice to upgrade and find the fixes already in newer versions. I am not talking about wish lists just operational fixes.

I hope soon to be #1 Cart Software, Great work, Daniel....Really enjoy using the system.

Great Choice!

Certainly a positive move in the right direction.

Now, just as mentioned above, some of those little fixes could be made that seem to carry over from one release to another.

And setting up contributions, fixes, do-it-yourself edits into release related categories would be fantastic.

So often someone will say "search" but there are so many instances of some search words it will not give any results. But breaking into a section for each release would make it much easier and save many people a lot of time, I am sure.

Congratulations Q!!

I am sure with Daniel and Q behind this now, the project will be even more powerful, stable & organised.

Looking forward to hearing your near-future plans on the project.
